Maria Elena Smith has been performing in some way or another since she was born - whether at home for family, on stage in musicals, singing with bands in Austin, TX or pretending to be interested in stories about your children - her performances are always on point. Her experiences led her to the world of stand-up comedy where she brings a twist to some classic stand up tropes - from dating to family to the military industrial complex and politics, all with a earnestness and charm that wins over audiences and keeps them laughing. She’s currently based out of New York City where she regularly performs on shows around town and has also been known to take the show on the road to places like San Diego, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New Orleans and Los Angeles.
